My job is to create images that make you and your business look better. Quality images matter. In the days of smartphone snapshots and photographic saturation, quality photography and lighting will quickly elevate and differentiate you, your business and your products.
My primary work is photographing people (studio and environmental portraiture) and products for small to mid-sized businesses. My parents owned small businesses and I understand the needs of business owners. I also shoot for individuals and families requiring high quality images, which can range widely from animals to kids. If you like my style, I’m ecstatic to apply it to whatever your needs may be. I love what I do and love working on a wide range of subjects.
Educated in Video Production and Cinematography, I worked for years on small productions as a Camera Operator and Director of Photography. I’ve learned what works (and what doesn’t) when transitioning from still to motion projects. I also know crew in all facets of production and can help elevate your project while keeping on-schedule, under budget and looking great.
Limited and open edition prints of select personal work are available for sale. I only work with specialized fine art printers using the highest quality archival papers and inks to create timeless, mesmerizing art for display. If you haven’t seen a quality print in person, you’re in for a treat. No screen can match the majesty of a fine print.
I’ve ventured into photo books with my first book A Symphony in Green, Photographs from Kauai. The book is printed from Blurb through Adobe Lightroom’s built-in plug-in. I was really surprised by the quality, it’s selling well and buyers are loving it. You can read more about it here. More books are lined up for the future. If you like Hawaii, order a copy and daydream away.
Licensing is available on most of my work for whatever your needs may be. Please contact me for specifics.
I own Nikon cameras, Zeiss lenses, Einstein strobes and a range of light modifiers. Anything else is easily rented yet rarely needed.
Having a low overhead keeps my rates simple and I work hard to fulfill your needs while working with your budget. Contact me with your specific needs for a quote. Military, Law Enforcement, First Responders and Religious Institutions receive discounted rates.
Hmm... Yes, I listen to polka, classical and reggae. No, I won't make you listen to any on your shoot. Yes, I like soccer and badminton. No, I'm not a fan of sports wearing copious padding and annoying graphics. Yes, I love old motorcycles. No, I don't have any anymore (I had an old Vespa, a Ducati Monster and a Honda CB750). Yes, I love old cars. No, I don't have any cool ones anymore (I had a VW Bug, a beautiful 1988 BMW 535is and an awesome 1980 Volvo). I love dogs, but sadly they have all passed and we're waiting for our daughter to be a bit older before we get more.
Anything else? Feel free to contact me for any reason at any time with any questions. I’d love to hear from you.
